Although admittedly this takes a bit of experience. WebOct 10, 2024 · Tapered head tube is the modern standard. Your frame has either a tapered or non-tapered head tube. Non-tapered means straight steerer forks, tapered means straight or tapered steerer forks. If you have a tapered head tube, a tapered steerer is usually the best bet. All of the above has exceptions, but I'm going with the general advice here. G
