It was named for James Jackson Shuler, a medical doctor who was mayor of Raton from 1899–1902 and 1910-1919. Elvis, Cab Galloway, Little Richard, Bruno Mars and Michael Jackson just name a few. The theater itself was incredible for being 103 years old. The show was fantastic.
