WebJan 26, 2024 · Sealing a chalk painted piece is very similar to sealing a non-chalk painted piece. I would highly recommend this step either with a liquid sealant or a wax type sealant. I chalk painted this Ikea kitchen for Liyana and sealed it and it has held up great – but it doesn’t get MUCH use (see next point), which may also impact how it looks!
