It needs to be thick and heavy to perform like it does, but it can be a literal challenge to maneuver it around. My work-around is to store the base and the lid as two units and lift them up one by one. WebI like the challenger pan, but I try to limit the amount of cookware I have that only serves one function. Even though it would be way easier than a Dutch oven for bread making and can make a nice large loaf, I don’t see it being super versatile. A stone or steel will allow you to make tall boules, long batards, baguettes, pizza, etc.
